RU-Camden Information Technology offers help and support for software and hardware in a variety of ways:
Located in the Rutgers Student Computer Center on the first floor of Robeson Library, the Help Desk staff is available by phone, email or in person. The service is offered during computer lab hours.
Camden Educational Series
Information Technology offers training on equipment, desktop software and systems each fall and spring through the Camden Educational Series. The free sessions are open to all Rutgers employees and students. Topics vary each semester, covering popular interests, including:
- Office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Rutgers systems such as myRutgersPortal and ScarletApps
- Equipment and facilities such as the exam scanner and enhanced-classroom equipment
Some tasks require more detailed instructions than normally provided in the Frequently-Asked Questions. Tutorials for WebDrive and MyFiles are available in the document library.
The department manages most of its document in the form of Frequently-Asked Questions covering almost every aspect of its services.
RU-Camden IT has created a number of streaming video tutorials demonstrating how to perform useful tasks on popular software. They include topics such as managing folders and adjusting spam filters in Outlook; creating pivot tables and macros in Excel; changing the orientation of a single page in Word; sharing files on OneDrive; using voice commands to control your computer; and taking a timed screenshot.
The streaming video service requires NetID login.
