FAQs for General Help
This category covers general questions such as support requests for personal and departmental offices. RCIT, not OIT-Camden, handles the majority of support requests for office equipment.

The level of help Information Technology staff can provide will depend on the system version and the complexity of the question. General questions related to operating systems used in the Rutgers Student Computer Lab or covered by the Camden Educational Series topics are most likely to be answered quickly.
For more complex issues, the best way to obtain an answer is to email Help Desk with the question. The email address reaches most of the RU-Camden Information Technology staff, increasing the chance of reaching someone proficient in the operating system.

To use WebEx, fill out the application form to request an account. Go to the Rutgers WebEx Page and click on Log In in the upper right of the page. Then click the Sign Up button.
Completing the Form for Faculty & Staff
When completing the form you should fill out your first and last name and the email address should be netid@rutgers.edu (e.g., johndoe@rutgers.edu). The username in WebEx will always be your NetID. If you want to create an account that isn’t linked with an individual user then you should have a shared e-mail account created and use that address and a commensurate name.
Completing the Form for Shared Accounts
Shared accounts can be requested on an as-needed basis. If you feel that you need access to a shared account, please email help@camden.rutgers.edu and someone from our support team will respond as soon as possible.
Available Services
For WebEx services, you can check all four of the boxes but keep in mind that you can only use one of the services at a time. Multiple people cannot login simultaneously and use different services.
After Completing the Form
Once you have completed the form your account should be set up in one to two business days. To set a password for the account the first time you use it, go to the WebEx login and use the “Forgot your username or password?” link.
Keep in mind that the university does not have an unlimited license for WebEx. It should have enough for those who actually want to use it, but people should not create accounts unless they will be actively used. Account activity will be checked periodically and accounts that are not being used will be removed.
