The Rutgers Student Computer Lab is on the main floor of Robeson Library. It is one of two places to go for RU–Camden IT help and support on campus. A Rutgers ID card is required to enter.

Lab equipment

The Rutgers Student Computer Lab in Robeson Library has over 170 computers. The majority run Windows 10, but there are some macOS computers. Visit the software page for information on the software installed on the computers.

Computer classrooms and labs

When there are no classes or events taking place, these classrooms are available as open labs for student use:

RU–Camden IT manages the equipment in these locations but does not manage reservations for these computer classrooms. Each of these classrooms is equipped with a printer/release station. Virtual computer labs

Get remote access to dozens of useful software applications 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Linux virtual desktops

Linux virtual desktop services are available to the entire Rutgers community through the Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC) and their Amarel advanced computing environment. Documentation about the Amarel virtual desktop services is available in the Cluster User Guide under Using the Open OnDemand interface and Using the FastX interface. For information about getting an account on Amarel in order to use the virtual desktop services, please refer to the Getting Access section of the user guide.
